I'm 32 - & @ 25 diagnosed with Endometriosis and 6 months ago diagnosed by several doctors with Fibromyalgia. 2 conditions that there is nothing I can do except deal with it, The Endo has no cure except the obvious is a hysterectomy and that's not even 100% that it will go away, and I'm to young to do that , Dr.'s say I have to wait till I'm 35 because I have no children. and the Fibromyalgia, another condition that has no cure, well because they don't know what causes the pain. So, because of this I'm in in a constant state of pain. I deal with it 90% of the time by just telling myself there is nothing I can do about it and move on, but there are days, MAN I hurt so bad I can hardly move, so I don't and become completely non productive, and the obvious depressed. My Dr put me on an anti-depressant it works for the most part with the depression but the pain is dulled but never gone. I have tried exercise doesn't help. So was wondering if anyone out there is dealing w/ this

I have both of these conditions myself. I was able to get over my endometriosis by first trying different birth control pills...at one time they stopped my periods for a year and I felt great. Then I had a laparoscopy to remove endo and have felt great for the last few years.

On the FM...there can be many different causes of this and usually can't be found. One thing that can cause it is low hormones, like growth hormone in my case. This also causes depression. Keep looking for a cause and don't just let them say its FM and leave it at that. FM is more of a symptom but you should keep searching and get every test you can think of to rule different causes out. Good luck.

Ouch. I do have fibromyalgia, and it really does hurt a lot. I used to have endometriosis, but, I had the operation, so THAT is over. With my endometriosis, I was bleeding so hard, all the time, plus the pain......that my Dr. said I would die without having the operation. My operation was a total success. I wanted to get across to you. Luckily, I already had had two sons. Fibromyalgia is painful, but, you can live with it most of the time, if you really insist on not letting IT get the best of you. I'm sorry you are in so much pain.........and I KNOW you are. Just to let you realize, I had a very successful, no problems, surgery.

Hello. First: You are not to young for a hysterectomy.I had mine at 20. And if you are having a lot of back pain---the hysterectomy will take care of that.
I also have Fybromyalgia. It took 5 1/2 years for them to figure that one out,I was ready to end it all. I am on Cymbalta, which is also a depression med. but I take the max dose for the fybromyalgia ( 120Mg ) as well as Neproxen and tramadol. within a month of this treatment, I woke up one morning feeling like I was 20 years old again. I have not felt this good in 29 years. Your DR. may need to up your meds. But it does work and you can be pain free most the time. My DR. says I will have relapses but they should not last to long. Go back to your Dr. and talk t him. There is help and a rainbow out there.....
