You could go to either. If you want to be on birth control for other reasons as well, go to your obgyn, if not just go to your dermatologist for other acne medication that could possibly help you better.

Gynecologist, but don't stress to them the fact that you want to take it for acne, they get a little upset when you do that, it's lame, but true, tell them you have irregular periods and you think that may be causing acne, let them know that yu hear that Ortho Tri Cycline Lo was good to accurately correct the period problem... this is the birth control that is good for skin.

Gynecologist. But you may also want to go to the dermatologist first to understand the cause of your acne.

Go to a dermatologist since your primary problem is with your skin. Let the doctor figure out how to treat your condition. Where did you get your medical degree?

You go to your regular doc., You do not need to see a GYN unless you have a problem your regular doc can't handle. He can handle pap smears and birth control so just see your regular doc.
