The hospital I delivered at refused to give babies pacifiers (if we wanted him to have one we had to bring it ourselves)
I did buy the soothies bottles, though. I also had to buy the Avent and the Dr Brown's, too, as my son disliked all of them. He finally settled on the Dr Brown's after I wasted money on the others. AND he never took to a pacifier either. (tried 3 different types of those, too!) My advice is not to stock up on too many of one thing until you are sure which he will use. You may end up with a picky little booger like my guy and end up with enough bottles to run a freaking daycare! LOL

I used the Nuk nipple, they have them to fit all bottle sizes. They even make them for the disposible bottles. Nuk, closely resembles the areola, ( women`s nipple).
