I want to purchase a Memorex Disk Drive and the system requirements are Pentium 166 MMX or higher. I am unfamiliar with MMX. My system has Intel Pentium 448 MHz. I need to know if the drive will work with my system. Is MMX the same as MHz?

I don't know of any Pentium that has 448 MHz... Though 400 MHz pluz would be an earlier Pentium 3... which already has MMX built-in.

Yes it will. The MMX was a technology that Intel added into the 166 MHz chips to allow for better graphical resolution without taxing the CPU as much. The MMX was actually a secondary sticker that OEMs could put on systems if that chip was added onto your PC.
