I have a 1997 Chrysler LHS, and actually the heat has been playing with me for a couple of weeks. It used to get real hot and blow out real good and then it would stop blowing, the switch is on high, but it's blowing like it's on low or something. When I put my hand up to the vent, I can still feel warm air, it's just not blowing out and when I put it on defrost, same thing. But the rear defrost works. Can anyone tell me wha't the problem and how much it's going to cost to fix it?

if does the same thing in a/c mode as in heat mode and I've already replaced the fuse and that didn't work. And by squealing noise, do you mean like a loose belt kind of noise or a buzz? Thanks for your help!!

Possible blower motor and or regulator failing. Testing is different on different cars. Basic power supply testing would be a good start fuse's etc. Check for full power/voltage too regulator. Blower could also be physically binding up not allowing full speed. A longer shot would be a control panel issue, but not likely.

i think it is just the heater fan. ease fix. at the shop it shuld not cost more then $60 i think. worst case it could b the switch not likley. the switch might cost a little more but that is most likley not it. in most cases befor the blower fan goes out it will make a squling noise. did yours?

Check your fuse first. Does it work properly when you have it on A/C? If not the speed control switch is bad.

Sounds like your blower maybe going out. You might want to have it looked at by a pro.
