Yes of course. We'd all be dead without animal testing - how do you think lifesaving drugs are tested?
And before the pro animal lobby jumps down my throat, just think how you would feel if the only way you were being kept alive was by drugs which had been tested on animals. Like my 11 year old niece with cystic fibrosis.

Well I am on the fence on this one. If the testing is for the prevention and cure of disease both human and animal disease then yes certainly it is for the greater good. On the other hand if it was for cosmetics or biological weapons then no because that harms humanity.

You know I understand why they have to use animals (toxicology for humans drugs) but after reading so many tox studies during my career it just breaks my heart what they have to do. Especially those neuropharm drugs. The hot plate test especially. And the way they have to kill them for micro/macro observations.
I guess I have to say no.

no if disease affects humans then test humans, i would suggest anyone who rapes a child under 10 or a woman over 80 as a candidate.
