You can use a screw driver to spread the clamp open then it will come right off. however, be careful not to put too much force on the battery post or you can hurt the post itself.

There is a tool you can buy. It's a battery cable puller. It clamps around the cable end and you wind in the screw "T" handle and it will pry it off.

Don't forget to wear your safety glasses. Batteries can blow up if your not carefull. There is battery acid inside (sulfuric acid)

Get yourself a battery cable puller. Only a few bucks at any auto supply store. Better safe than sorry.

You may want to try some WD-40 lubricant; it's helped me in the past in a lot of stuck or sticky situations....pardon the pun, lol

Spread the clamp to loosen it, then try twisting it left /right while pulling on it.
