Hmm, I guess I don't agree that dreams are formed from memories.
Dreams are formed from expectations and expectation uses symbols as a language of expression. Sometimes these symbols are built from memories but this is not always the case.
If a person is born without the use of certain environmental sensors, it does not mean that they are born without the ability to dream. That is like saying that a computer without a webcam or microphone or speakers cannot run programs.
Try this as an exercise. Sit in a closet at night in absolute darkness and quiet. Imagine if you had to get up and get a drink of water but the darkness and quiet stayed with you. Could you do it? I'm sure you could!
You have just experienced this type of dream!

Dreams aren't entirely formed from memories, and deaf/blind people still have memories anyway.
Helen Keller reported having normal dreams when she was taught sign-language so she could communicate. So yes, deaf/blind people do dream just as anyone else, though they wouldn't be the same visual dreams as a sighted person.

Dreams are the over-all summary of the works of our subconscious mind. Dreams are actually not formed only from memories, or recollection of those memories. They also represent our aspirations, thoughts and ideals in a manner that we have supplied these inputs in our brain, and the knowledge of such remained in the brain.
BAck to your question, did I mention anything that the brain have pictured, seen or heard? No I didn't. I mentioned about thoughts, aspirations and ideals. They all are ideas in the mind with no matter impressed on them.
Even the blind, and deaf do dream.

yes of course they do, they will have dreams just like everyone else..what they dream about is a different story. just like babies dream even in the womb its been know they can! and in the womb its dark and quiet also babies dont have a lot of understanding with the outside world either..so even the most disabled of all people have dreams.
and by the way please dont use the term deaf, blind and dumb anymore..its so old and it hurts alot of people..i am deaf and i hate it! i'm not the sort of person to take offence with questions about deafness but that saying does makes my skin crawl.

Some of deaf people have dreams in which the characters communicate via sign language.
If the people were born blind, they have no visual imagery; the dreams consist of impressions from the other senses -- touch, hearing, smell, and taste. If the people were sighted and then became blind, their dreams contain visual imagery -- but these visual dreams might cease to occur eventually

Studies prove that blind and deaf people dream. Strangly enough, blind people also experience reapid eye movements during dreams, and report "seeing" things in dreams.
Now, wouldn't it be interesting to see what blind people "see" when they dream? They have never seen a tree like I have, so they must "see" it completely differently...

Even if you are deaf, mentally challenged and blind you still have dream. You can still feel things and taste things so you are not completly immune from the world. Yes you still dream. There are evidence that babies dream in mother's womb too.
