My mom or dad. I was born late in their lives and became interested in their histories too late to get answers. I'd take a video recorder and aks the tons of questions.

If you haven't done that to your parents or grandparents, do it NOW! If you don't know questions to ask, just ask how life has changed; what their favorite memory is, what their least favorite memory is; ask for stories about their pets, and did they really, truly walk to school 3 miles every day, uphill both ways, barefoot, in the snow?
