Vermont towns have true democracy - we hold town meetings where anyone and everyone is free to speak there mind and present their options. With such an open system there are bound to be some strange things happening.
Yes, there are some tree-hugging, dirt-licking, latte sipping, Volvo-driving liberals up here, but there are also a lot of conservatives. Remember we have had a Republican governor since Dr. Dean. There are also a lot of people here who don't identify with part's and what not and go to their own beat.
Long story short: Don't believe everything you read in the liberal or conservative rags, both either want to make Vermont into some kind of heaven or hell, it's really not. It's just a nice place to live, with mostly good people (which is more than can be said for most states), and a truly democratic way of life.

Do you mean the fact the the state of Vermont loves pedophiles and lets them walk free? Who cares what Vermont does? It needs to protect its children from these monsters and the judges who protect them before it condemns anyone else.
This whole thing is to divert attention from the fact that Vermont gives it children to pedophiles.
EDIT- I didn't say Bush was, I was reacting to this from Vermont which proves my point that Vermont has problems that are more important than a few resolutions. This needs to be addressed first.
