does dual core processors need ddr2 supported motherboards?

I bought a LGA 775 Dual core intel processor and LGA 775 Foxconn ddr1 mobo w/ intergreted graphics, it turns on fine but i don't get no picture nothing at all. Whats Worng?

It's really hard to give an answer with little information. For debugging Motherboards, do the following:

Remove everything from the motherboard (Memory, CPU, any PCI or Video cards, etc). Turn it on. You should get an error code or beep sequence that you are missing parts. turn it off.

Step by step add the following and turn it back on and verify that the next error code/beep sequence is a missing part:

1. cpu & heatsink
2. memory
3. video card
4. any pci adapters.
