i had told them in advance i wanted to talk with them about something personal, they agreed i could. I think i may be just that i feel really vunerable having said what i did, they may be just sensing this, or may feel they dont know how to help. I dont know.

It will get worse unless you measure up to being a good friend and address it now.

The longer that it is allowed to stew, the farther you and your friend will grow. I know it's hard to engage in uncomfortable situations but believe me when I say; if your address it now, it will show your friend that you want to keep the friendship and need their support to do this. In an odd sort of way, it will help you grow also. Confronting the hard issues is a problem many of us have. And, the fix is so easy! Go figure! Talk to you friend!

What you shared with your friend was apparently something that, had you thought about it first, you might not have shared, I'm afraid. This will sit on your relationship until you have a conversation to clear the air with said friend and establish a way for you both to get past it. By the way, you imply that you told one person, then you say "them." Which is it?

I notice this a lot.
Someone tells you that you can talk to them about anything but then when you do, they freak out and disappear.
They shouldn't make an offer they can't keep.

I am sorry to hear that happened. Without guessing what you told him/her, I am guessing that it made them uncomfortable. Give them some time, if they are a good friend, they will come and speak to you, if they aren't then that's a shame.

sometimes after you tell a friend somthing personal about yourself, they do not know how to react. So you and your friends will not talk for awhile.
