In my conclusion I'd have to say men have it easier: No periods, no PMS, no labor, less likely to be emotionally unstable and depressed, faster metabolism and don't get fat and binge-eat as easily, can lift things and run faster and have higher endurance and stamina, make more money.

However, certain aspects like dating, women for some reason don't do any initiating like asking out or have to go the extra mile -- men generally have to go the extra mile for the woman while she just sits there.

Overall however and life in general, I'd have to say men.

Oh yeah, and we're not overly obsessed and insecure with our looks. Short hair is easier to maintain and I don't have to shave legs or armpits or put on makeup. Not wearing those foot-killing high-heels is a plus. Or skirts and worrying about "panty lines." A shower, some bodyspray and deodorant, brushing teeth, combing hair, maybe a little gel, some facial cleanser and moisturizer, some baby powder and lotion... and that is good enough for me.

Natalia B: sounds pretty superficial. no real job would hire someone based on "looks," unless it has to do with modelling or acting. if a man has a psych degree and is average looking, and a woman whom is beautiful just has a high school diploma, and it's a job as a therapist, they're going to hire the man not the woman.

Men because they don't have to have periods, PMS, pregnancy, go through the pain of childbirth. Not too emotional. Don't whine and complain about everything like women do.

While I agree that there are individual circumstances that could swing the answer one way or the other, I think the general consensus is that men overall have it better than women. Women bear much more responsibility for the care and upbringing of children, and also for the welfare of the family. Women generally make less money for doing the same work, and are limited in their upward mobility simply as a result of their gender. And, let's face it, women are more physically vulnerable than men and are prone to physical and sexual attacks. That being said, I would much rather be a woman than the man I am.

I don't think either gender has it easier. Men and women just have different sorts of problems and difficulties in life. Unless we have walked in the other gender's shoes, we shouldn't make assumptions about each other.

I mean I don't even wear much make up or 5 inch heels. I do take care of my appearance, but it doesn't consume me. I also know quite a few men who obsess over their appearance and have body image concerns.

HTH.

Men have it easier. If I'd been born a boy, I still would have had the you-know-what beat out of me night and day, but statistically, I probably wouldn't have been molested, attacked, raped, or sexually harassed. I could live with the beatings I would have gotten as a boy and as a man, (I had those too, like my brothers did), it's the rest that have been almost impossible to overcome.

Well there are different kind s of difficulties for both men and women. Women experience more pain in life while men usually shoulder the burden of providing for his family. I don't know. I guess it's how look at it. Theres no definite answer.

Well, maybe women pass through some difficult times in life (all that you mentioned) but I think life is easier for us because we can find a job, money and a boyfriend just because we are beautiful. We are also the lucky ones in times of war or other distractions.

Neither. Why we all have responsibilities. That is like asking what is the most important job. Without garbage people trash would be everywhere, without people who work in stores how would we buy things and without doctors who would treat us when we were sick.

Men have it easier in life because they don't have to go through labor. Also, if he choses to leave a woman who he has impregnated he could go start a family some where else.
