I have just recieved a new computer the other day and was wondering since I have 4 slots for memory ....non ecc if that helps. But I would like to put my old ram in the new system. The system has one ram for 512 mb already in the system. I have memory in my old system 512 (2x 256) and was thinking since they are both pc2100 ddr sdram that it would be possible to put those in as well BUT in the other paired memory slot. Just asking computer savvy people if that is ok for the computer or not?

there should be no problem doing this because i did it for my pc and there was no problem at all..as long as your one memory stick is 512 and the other two are 256 you should be ok..the important thing to remember is that memory sticks should be paired together.
