Do you feel one-night-stands are ok? I mean, assuming you are not cheating on anyone at the time. Is it possible to have one-night of no-strings-attached sex?

Let me put it this way. You can go out and have sex with any consenting, adult woman you like, but from my life experience, I would say that at least 70% of the time (if not more) there are "strings;" you just can't see them at the time. It's like...get out the ultraviolet light and check again. They're there.
Most women are emotionally "hard-wired" toward relationships. Trust me on that.
And have you seen the movie "Fatal Attraction?" If not, rent it. Some real wisdom there.
And one other thing. I assume you'll be having "safe sex." If not, you might as well play Russian roulette.

I might be the only woman that thinks so but it is totally ok.
No cheating and no strings.....O.K.
I am married, so it is different and I will never cheat and I don't think that my husband would.
I think that it is wrong, that it is o.k. for men to have sex with 30 different women as one-night stands, over time,O.K. still, but why when a woman says " I play the field and don't want strings, and have had my fair share of men!" Women are wh***s or sl**s or ........you know...
It might be a good Idea to tell the women.. that all you are looking for is something with no strings......

Of course it's possible. If neither one of you is in a relationship, and both just want a night of sex to relieve stress of whatever. I see no problem with it personally.
I had a few one night stands when i was younger, and still see a couple of the women it happened with. We have no problem with each other and will say hi as we pass, no hard feelings anywhere, just a night of fun.
Just be sure that both parties want the same thing.

I was once in the same boat my friend... In fact, I asked the same question on YAHOO ANSWERS and got positive responses telling me there was nothing wrong with one night stands. So, that night, I made my way to a shady bar down town and, after having a few drinks, ended up taking a young woman home with me. She wasn't all that attractive, but I was drinking and looking for sex. Anyway, we did our thing, and she went home. I thought i'd never see or hear from her again until a month later when she showed up at my door and told me she was pregnant. We used a condom and everything, I didn't understand it. I now have shared custody of our son, and he lives with me every weekend. I am not at all in love with this woman, but I have to forever deal with what happen simply because I wanted a one night stand. So take it form me, one night stands are not worth any of the risks you take while having them. Find someone you love. And if your horny and looking for a one night stand, wack off, and you'll snap out of it.

I had many many one-night stands when I was single. It seemed like I always felt dirty and bad about myself each time. It made me feel cheap, and my current partner sometimes wonders if I'm ever tempted to have one-night stands again.
In a way, it's not fair to the person you'll ultimately spend your life with.
The other big thing you should be concerned with is the prevalence of STDs. Be safe!

It's possible and it's ok--as long as neither of you has any expectations of an actual relationship--which also means you are restricted to a ONE night stand. It would probably work better if you didn't even exchange numbers--then for sure no expectations would be there.

i guess anything is possible, but you need to let the girl that u are going to get intimate with know that it is a no strings attatched situation and for 1 night only and that you do not want to see her again after that~ if she is ok then i guess it is ok, but if she is not ok with it...please for the love of God do not have sex with her if she is uncomfortable, because then you will have one lady with hurt feelings to deal with for a while~ take care and hope this helps~

I suppose it would depend on how much alcohol was involved. At this point in time , I would have to have an emotional connection with the person and feel something for them. I don't think a one night stand is for me. I'm not 20 anymore.

I don't think one night stands are ok. There are too many diseases, and too many "oops" that end up in the world 9 months later that do not have the love and support of both parents.
Is it possible, of course, but it is you who has to decide for yourself.
