Nikki: Thank you for the link.
I don't think a president should have the right to pardon people if it is in direct conflict with his administration.
Armitage has admitted to being the leak of Plames CIA status.
Can't anyone here see the truth should be the order of the day?
Regardless of where it exists!
Why should we allow corruption to exist because the people who are corrupt are in our chosen political party???
What purpose will that serve?
What are we teaching our children and the rest of the world when we knowingly allow corrupt officials to govern because they serve our chosen agenda?
We can do better!!

I think it is fine. This has been the law of the land since our early history and is used by both parties. For instance we have states with very backwards laws- some people being put in jail for 50 years or life for stealing a loaf of bread or going to jail for marijuana- if not barbaric at least uncivilized laws. Whichever side of the political coin you are on, Bill Clinton pardoned Frank Rich who did many bad things-it is the right of the president to do so. Most of the jury on this Libby trial did not even want to punish Libby and felt badly for convicting him. I am assuming this is what you are refering to.

That isn't want Libby was convicted of sorry buddy.
He was charged with obstuction of justice and lieing to the FBI both things liberals approve of before in a criminal matter.
Typical liberal you don't even know what Libby was charged with.
As far as pardons Clinton pardon terrorists so why would be a big deal to you if Bush pardon Libby.

sure. he can pardon anyone he wants. he probably won't pardon Libby, but keep worrying about it just in case.
but why convicted felons from the administration? i guess felons that donate a million dollars to democrats, even thought they did business with a terrorist state that held American captives, aren't really treasonous, and their pardons are okay.

do not trouble if Bush does pardon Scooter so he wont snitch on Bush & Cheney. united statesa. will in no way flow for that application besides. they are going to easily carry the prices again up for added study and get them besides. Thats the great aspect about the equipment. The GOP is in an particularly massive seize 22 as we talk, and also you may be certain that a minimum of one million/2 of them are going to come back over to the triumphing aspect to the (Liberals). a house of playing cards in no way stands very lengthy does it.

Valerie's loud mouth braggadocios husband outed her, and no one else. Why did the courts have to stop her from publishing her book while the trial was going on. Her and her husband are opportunist. Libby did not get convicted on any outing, he got convicted for lying about it. If you stop the pardons, how will the Clinton's be able to raise funds?

Whatever the crime, its nice to know that your president will pardon you just to further his political agendas. Life is good unless you go counter to the president's plans.

Lying to the FBI about who told you first about someones identity is not TREASON. If by your standards lying is a treasonable offense WHAT ABOUT BILL LYING UNDER OATH? to answer your question no the President has pardoning power and Congress wont change that.

Bush is already going down as the worst pres in history he might as well add this to the list of stupid things he's done. He shouldve pulled out all troops when they caught saddam.and left special troops there to deal with the rest of the saddam regime.now for some reason we still arent trying to hunt binladen
