Even the slaves in America use to sing, but if you were enslaved or caged. Would you sing?

Wullie711,
I'm sorry if I gave that impression, I have never had a racialist thought in my head
I'm not that kind of person...
And I'm from the UK.

Yes.
I know this because I live my life every day with a child who is bipolar and autistic with other disabilities and health issues as well. Even my own family is brought to tears at what our daily life is like.
I've lived through single parenting seven children, poverty, death of cherished friends and family, spouse abuse, miscarriage of a baby and miscarriage of justice.
Do I find joy in my life? Hell, yes. I find it in that disabled child, my other children, other people's children, my husband, helping others, watching gifted and talented children perform, in music, in most performing arts actually... and in good food, good wine and a good deal at the grocery store. I cherish time out more than most people probably do and I tend to find joy and happiness in moments where I can because it's not always dropped in my lap like a trip to Disney.
Do I dance with my children, act goofy in the car, sing using a flashlight as a microphone, have a sense of humor in order to survive and have tears of real joy over life's moments? Absolutely.
Enslaved? Caged? Sometimes I think I'm both... but most days I can still find it inside of me to sing.

If you want to know a very good vocal coach try to visit https://tr.im/zotfJ an online vocal coaching tutorial. Everything, ranging from breathing fundamentals, vocalizing exercises, techniques on singing high and low notes, how to not go off-key/out of tune/off-sync, musicianship and music theory, proper diction and articulation, and a lot more are covered, all in our native language. It can be quite technical in nature, but it really helps since it covers the musical aspect of singing deeply and not just concentrates on how to impress people with your vocal range, riffs and runs and other cliches that do not necessarily make one a complete vocalist.

The caged bird sings in terms of the same motive behind American slaves used to sing.
As for your second question;yes,I am sure I would.Because,it would be the only way for me to feel myself free and also,I would sing the song of 'unchain my heart',whenever I felt my heart was enslaved.

Singing helps to pass the time. Thats just like saying why do people in prison write letters and work out. To just pass the time.

I'd sing for two reasons: (1) To piss off my captors, and (2) To remind me that this world is not my home -- that there's a better life waiting for me when I get called home to God in Heaven.

So it was music to your ear all this time......then think about this.........I often wonder why anyone would keep an animal caged while it cried itself to total insanity........prehaps if people realized we and animals make different sounds to communicate one would not find it such sweet sounds in others igony.....Think about...how can an animal effectively comunicate it feelings? in language you haven't a clue??????

Because it is safe in its cage. It just means that the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. If you have never known different, you don't know what is being missed.
