Apparently other people's wives. He had an affair with his friend's wife and his wife killed herself because of it. Theo later married the friend's wife. (isn't it amazing what you can find out on the Biography channel?)

And he was actually very nervous around kids. Cat in the Hat was written on a dare that he couldn't write a book with 100 words. When he did, they bet him that he couldn't do it with 50 and Green Eggs and Ham was created.

I think that writing books for children was one of his interests. He was married so he was probably quite interested in sex, too. Of course, he may have liked sex because it helped create children, so he would always have someone to read his stories.
