Yes, I am transgendered, but first I am a woman. At no point do I not hate having the association of "queer." Does anyone else feel this way as well?

I have never been called "queer", but if it happened, it would depend on who said it. If it was someone I did not know, I just consider it to me "non-important". People who are insecure call others names. If you are secure in who you are, then let it be their ignorance. I am not being passive, I have never fought ignorance of that kind, and I don't want to waste my time doing it.

I wouldn't get too upset, it is just a name and won't hurt you.

If it bothers you, when someone says it remember these two sayings. I had better say, I am a genetic woman, I am straight so I don't know your pain. But back to the sayings that put a different light on queer. One of my father's friends use to say

"There's nowt as queer as folk." (There's nothing as strange as people)
"All the worlds queer except thee and me and I'm not so sure about thee."

Laugh at it, if you are happy, does the rest matter?

Just what is the dictionary definition of queer
Then IF I believe your behavior to be ODD unusual or different ??
What is your question about?
Why the double negative.
"at no point do I not hate" SO you hate being called Queer!!
Even though it is precise and accurate to what I see and believe.
Our 1st amendment world and the PC have allowed you to yell and complain... Isn't that queer. !

The original meaning for the word "queer" means odd, eccentric, or suspicious. Used in the original or modern way, "queer" is certainly not a compliment.

It doesn't really worry me, you can call me B'stard if you want, I've been called all sorts over the years...mostly water off a ducks back but it depends on the situation and who's doing the name calling. If anyone calls me queer I usually reply... "I think you're queer!".

Just remember that 'queer' only means 'strange' or 'peuculiar'. A lot of modern homosexuals prefer the term to the false appellation 'gay'. Take power in the word! Take pride in it! Drop the silly 'gay' word and embrace your 'peculiarity' (value-check out the meaning of the word!)

Ever hear of the group 'Queer Nation'? Since gays call themselves that, then it is fair to use that word word to discribe the gay nation. Right?

I quite like it as a generic term. I'm not gay - I'm bi. I often feel slightly awkward answering all the questions that start "Gays - ..."
and, if you go through my (serious) answers, I end up sounding like I'm justifying myself; as "I'm bi" keeps cropping up.

Queer covers all bases.

I'm entirely indifferent. If people need to call me other things other than my name, then it's they who are odd.
