Cons think the 20 year old, expired and worthless, forgotten shells found in the desert, dating from before the 1st Gulf war are proof that WMD have been found.
Cons dont like reality very much.

Ask Donald Rumsfeld - he was the main mover behind the Reagan Administration's sale of bio weapons to Saddam back in the early 1980's. Rumsfeld and his bosses back home knew damn good and well what Saddam, their friend and ally, was going to do with the WMD, and even SHOWED HIM how to use it all....
the slam dunk was Bush II using his dad's intel from 12 years prior to snowjob a fairly large portion of American society, as we still see here on this very board today.

The last "Congress" is probaby kicking themselves for not designating bullets as WMDs before the Dems took over. If so, they could've claimed Iraq was littered with WMDs so this whole issue wasn't an embarassment for the Sitcom President.....

Oh such smugness.
First of all, we have found lots of strictly prohibited weaponry, including toxic gas, shells, etc. However, the Liberal media downplays this because it doesn't fit their agenda.
There is a LOT that goes on in politics that we never find out about until many years later. For example, many people blindly condemned Senator Joseph Mc Carthy for his prosecution of communists who had infiltrated our government. However, did you know they just declassified a top secret government report, called the Venona Report, which documents how our government had cracked the Soviet's code they were using to communicate with their operatives in the United States? McCarthy could not divulge that.
At the trials, he couldn't come out and say, "We have transcripts of your communications with the Soviets, so we know everything you've been telling them". No, McCarthy had to make due with the severe limitation of prosecuting these traitors without divulging our success in breaking the Soviet's code.
Now Bush has to live with the same handicap. Don't you think there are times he just wants to blurt out, "This will completely shatter some national security secrets, but I have to respond to all those stupid punk kids who think they know it all. Well, for your information, we know exactly where Saddam hid his weapons, but we're negotiating with Syria, and disclosure will now hamper our efforts greatly."
There used to be a website detailing how Saddam used a nighttime convoy of trucks to remove his WMD's to Syria. There were satellite images and statistics about length of convoy, and other details. Now that website has disappeared (hmmm... I wonder why!, wink, wink)
So, maybe in 30 years you'll be reading the newspaper one day and you'll see an article about how some old scumbag dictator in Iraq named Saddam Hussein once sent all his weapons to Syria for safekeeping.
Still so smug?

Addendum: I just read the answer by Krytox1a. This is the kind of proof I was talking about, but since Liberals don't like to hear inconvenient truths, they give him thumbs down? You Liberals are pathetic. I don't think it's even worth the time for Conservatives to educate you. You're beyond redemption.

My answer is correct. But you will none the less dismiss it. You are only trying to incite trouble. You have not asked to get a sincere answer. FIRST What do you think killed well over 100,000 Kurds in Iraq? Surely the gas that killed them would be considered a WMD.This gas has not been located either. WHY? I am glad you asked. Since it was never found this proves there was an effort to hide Saddam's WMD's. There were WMD's inspected by NATO. When we went in they were gone. It's kinda like speeding drug runners throwing out their drugs to prevent getting caught with them. You only care that the lack of WMD's make Bush look bad.

The partially declassified documents show that 500 shells containing Sarin and Mustard gas were found in Iraq.
The declassified document is here: http://hotair.iad.cachefly.net/images/2006-05/iraq-doc.pdf

Former senior Iraqi general, Georges Sada, has said that in late 2002, Saddam ordered that all the stockpiles of WMD were to be moved to Syria. On January 25, 2006 on Hannity & Colmes on Fox News, the former number 2 officer in the Iraqi Air Force made clear that he had used them against Kurds and Marsh Arabs. He also stated that up till the summer of 2002 they were in Iraq, and when Saddam realized the Americans were coming and the inspectors would arrive on November 1st, he took the occasion of Syria's broken dam and announced he would make an "air bridge".
They were moved by air and by ground, 56 sorties by jumbo, 747, and 27 were moved, after they were converted to cargo aircraft, they were moved to Syria.[4][5]-Wikipedia
"They were moved by Russian Spetsnaz (special forces) units out of uniform, that were specifically sent to Iraq to move the weaponry and eradicate any evidence of its existence,"
So you're saying that ANYONE who appears on H & C is a moron?? Really?? I think you need to check into H & C's history before you spout off that crap!

The jury is still out on what happened, but many sources say that they were moved to Syria (Baath party "pals" of Saddam) shortly before the war, since they knew they were going to get their butts kicked in the main war, and that in that way (after we would give up like we now adays do in long wars) they could be back in power with their weapons again.
