I used to live in Oak Grove Kentucky a few years back. I would say get a hold of some radio stations and find out if you can be booked to play for something they are doing. Like food drives, The kids van bring in food to see a live band and you will get public attention at the same time. Most radio stations will pay to have more people show up to things like this. Find out stuff from your local news paper as well there might be some younger clubs out there that want to have a live band. But make sure the younger clubs are letting parents in cause of all the bad things that have been taken into account of what really happens at these clubs. You can talk to the schools and see if they would rather have a live band for dances instead/with there DJ. You can make your own community get together as well get a bunch of supporters together for a Teens day kind of thing. Just make sure that you are getting permits and all so that you are covered. Talk to organizations about playing for there cause. Be creative with what you are doing.

Pollstar.com -- It's the ultimate site for concert listings. You can search by city. From there, just look at all of the listed venues.
