I have sent complaints on several participants in the last couple of days that post ridiculous questions that serve no purpose other than to inflame participants. I have received reports from Y!A and all of the questions remain online.

Well first off, ignore fozzie since he clearly hasn't a clue. As for my feelings on the matter, I could care less. What I can't get over is how many people still answer the questions instead of simply ignoring them.

Remember, a bully wants attention and if you react he'll get it. Remove the gratification and he'll eventually get bored and leave.

It is ridiculous; you are right, 100%. At one time, I thought Yahoo was doing a good job at removing most of the offensive garbage, but lately, not much is being done.

The question, linked below, was reported twice by me. It deals with someone asking if "homos" should be castrated because of the "sin" issue. I received the standard acknowledgment (once) from Yahoo, and the question remains on-site, with a best answer awarded.

I wrote to Yahoo last night to complain about their lack of action. This nonsense should not be tolerated, at any level, but the wish for physical harm to anybody is deplorable.

Frankly, I think they have a computer program that eliminates a question once it reaches a certain number of complaints. I don't think that anybody at Yahoo reads any of the complaints or questions. It's all on autopilot including those lovely little form letters they send via email. I,too, have noticed that there are any number of questions that remain on here although they clearly violate the community guidelines. Have a great day!

I know what you mean and I don't understand it at all. Example, we're here in the LGBT section, you asked Whats your favorite gay bar?, this would be the place to find out, and Yahoo doesn't post it. Yet, they allow the rantings of the resident trolls take place all the time and those type of questions attract ID's rarely seen over here, like it is some kind of game to push the limit. I try to ignore inflamatory questions, I wish the askers of these question would ignore me.

Whereas, I report them and get no response from Yahoo! Answers - but then I recognise that perhaps 50% of those questions disappear within 48 hours.

I've previously suggested (both to Yahoo! directly and when answering this type of question) that, if attention were paid to the IP addresses used by these people, then their disbarment would perhaps be a little more effective.

First of all, I'm surprised: I was under the impression they delete ANYTHING they get even one flag on. Well, whatever. I think we should just ignore them. They want attention, and what they really want is for people to stoop to their level and insult them so that they can turn around and cry martyr that gay people are opressing them. The only responses we should give are ones for real questions (even if they are insulting) and answer in a reasonable, articulate way so as to show their stereotypes as pathetic. Ultimately, it depends on if you see any kind of reason in the person at all, in which case I answer in a way that appeals to to their curious side rather than their hate.

At first I would just type ramo for the points to the stupid questions, Now I just report them and don't leave a response. It just isn't worth the two points to justify their insanity with a response. Of all the ones I have reported, I have only gotten a response from YA twice. I just consider the source and move on.

Well to be honest, I HAVE seen a huge decrease in the amount of questions that the trolls have been asking. I assume that is due to the policy that yahoo has been working on to combat this, although I could be wrong.

Finally, to Pretending to work, you SOOOOOO don't understand Tegarst. He is about as far from that as he can be. I would never suggest him as the complainer type.

What are you doing here in the first place??? hummmmmmmmmmm? Are you gay but maybe you can't stand rejection? Maybe you just like to be a pervert who's covering his own tracks! If you don't like it why are you here!

I have noticed that lots of gay-bashers are allowed to continue bashing us in our own forum, but you'll get pulled in other cultural areas. Too bad they don't crack down on the offensive Questions posted.
