The scientific method is one which is in a controlled environment and its findings would allow for anyone to duplicate that research and come to the same conclusions.

How fast you do this does not necessarily mean it lacks quality however margin for error is greatly increased.

Any good scientist will test and test their own research and send it off to another to have them test it as well so they can conclusively say that they have a solution.
