Why do women hate other women who are prettier than they are?
There is a woman in my town who is married to a realtor with a sleazy reputation. They are very churchy, and she acts super sweet to everyone but me. She was nice and chatted with me once, but now whenever I see her out in town, she gives me nasty looks or if she sees me coming, hurries up and looks at the ceiling.
I never said anything bad about her, and would frankly like to be her friend if she wanted. It all started when I got a new vehicle. Shortly after, she got a new vehicle (albeit a used one, and mine was brand new). After that, she started sticking her nose up at me, and trying to show off whenever we saw eachother, which was on a daily basis.
She has even gone so far as to copy my clothing style, hair style, and seems very insecure. She always wears cheap clothing from Old Navy but has a ton of it. I hardly ever see her in the same outfit. If she has all of these things, why does she need to be snotty?

wow my mom had the same thing and do you know why she was doing that its cus her husband had a thing for my mom and so she starting acting and dressing like my mom and she hated my mom cus of it
and if her husband is not the best guy then that could be the reason why this lady is treating you so bad

You seem to have enough confidence to not really care.If I were you I would quit trying. You say she has a used car and yours is new, you have great clothes and she has cheep crappy ones. Why would you want to be friends with someone you think and see as less than you. People like you only get friends like this woman to make yourself feel better. And as you are saying you are. So, why be friends if you are better. Maybe she sees that she will never be as good as you and would rather hate you then try to like you. It is a slap in the face to be friends with someone that is a lot better than you and openly shows it. Friends are about the person not the car and clothes, but there are standards of such things with everyone. I am not going to make friends with the people in my city that live in the "low income housing" because I drive nice vehicles, am a homeowner and have exceptionally high income for my area. My husband also, not just me. So, I am asking why is it so important to make friends with this person you are obviously claiming to be better than?

This woman suffers from narcissism, it is an illness in the brain and only an analyst and medication could help her. Reality, these type men and women live everywhere so best to ignore it and know that your success is causing her much duress.

I've had women like that treat me the same way.I even stopped going to my church because of her.It's not fun feeling uncomfortable all the time! I believe they are just insecure with themselves.Sad,huh?

Live your life and be happy. You don't want to be friends with a woman that is this messed up. She needs to deal with this within herself. Later she may come up to you decently. You can be her friend then if you like. Until then don't let it bother you.

It is her own insecurities that make her behave the way she does. count yourself lucky you didn't get mixed up in her drama.

She, is just jealous of you sick, unhappy, insecure, selfish, and spoiled rotten.
