Sure i know i can start by just taking my basics, explore my opions and see what is avaliable to me, but who did you finally come to your desicion about a career path? what made you realize that that was the direction you felt like you could do the rest of your life or at least for awhile?

Well, I'm no expert but I have been around a bit and done some things incorrectly - and I've 'traveled' with some folks doing the same thing. That is all I can base my advice on:

Do what you love to do! Do not fool around with anything else. Do not chase the big buck (unless your 'love' rewards you with $$$). Do not spend your life wishing you had done something else. You love to write? Write. You love the ocean? Oceanography. You love boats, outdoors? Marina management (low level at first, gradually learn it all). You love to fly and travel? Pilot/flight engineer/steward. You love people and like to help them? Doctor/nurse, Peace Corps, religion, sociology. I could go on and on. But, you get the idea.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE!!! And I wish you the best in doing it.

For me it was a case of I couldn't handle the classes for what I wanted to do, so I went for something very closely related. But I knew around junior/senior year of HS what it was I wanted to do.
