The problem with mine was that she couldn't get it that a parent's love for his children was different from the love of his spouse. She felt she was in competeition with us kids. I was getting accused of this and that, and I could feel her anger and dislike. But I was 17 yrs old and realized that I would soon be leaving home. It's a wonder that she didn't pack my lunches in a Texaco road map.
Now my father has passed on and she is 80 yrs old. And we kids still go to visit her. I don't stay long, and I'm still getting accused of things that happened years ago that I didn't do. I just chalk it up to old age now.

Not all are honey, you just got really screwed when you got yours it sounds like. How old are you and how long have they been married?
