Several answers
1. The beginning of wisdom is the Fear of the Lord, ie. there are things in this world MUCH bigger than you are. This world is not a safe place. Ie. kids learn not to bite their tounge or stick their hands in fire. Thats where wisdom starts.
2. Wisdom can also be defined as "the appropriate application of Knowledge."
3. The end of Wisdom is Love. What beings with the Fear of God ends in the Love of God. Ie. Those rules are there to protect us not hurt us.

I would define wisdom as knowledge built up over time. A large amount of knowledge about a certain subject. It doesn't even have to be about a certain subject. Alot of times, wisdom is depicted as old. Wise people aren't really old. Wise people can be the age of five.

The purpose of all learning and education is to create a mind that is able to live in peace and harmony with its environment most happily and profitably. And within this a search for a singular unifying principle is the main purpose of all philosophical brooding, each debate is to end all debates, to reach the best possible view point about an issue, and all complexities are considered to eliminate all complexities, to reach simple facts in truth about living. This is how all philosophical thoughts eventually form the basis for conventional wisdom enabling people to extract practical wisdom, and to be able to live peaceful, happy, fulfilled and productive lives.
The literal meaning of the word 'philosophy' is: the love of wisdom. Philosophical pursuits in their essence, however, mean to search for Truth through a study of facts in life, as it has quite aptly been said that facts are many but Truth is only one. It is commonly believed that by singularly finding the Truth connecting all things in life, the solutions to all problems can be found, and issues of moral, ethical and personal spiritual nature can be resolved.

There are many levels of wisdom and where it comes from is a personal thing. Wisdom can from age or experience in life or maybe it's intuition that gives you wisdom. Maybe your born with wisdom. Who knows? It's impossible to fathom the depth of such an elemental thing as wisdom.

Hello,
(ANS) In my opinion wisdom is the ability NOT to repeat or make the same mistakes I've made in my past. To see the same or a similar set of circumstances coming towards me (deja vou effect!!) & to make better choices in response.
The paradox of wisdom is it cannot be taught!! I can only tell you what wisdom means to me (as above).
The closest I can come to a definition is that wisdom it is the accummulation of a lifetime's experience transformed into knowledge, & emotional intelligence. This is applied to living your life each day. It is a deep level of knowingness.

Simple when gain, a gift from God and when you understand things. Wisdom is when you understand things that people don't see or don't want to understand. Forever to keep, but sometimes it's good not to understand some things.

I would describe wisdom as these things...
--Learning from your past, and learning from others mistakes (so you don't have to go through them, that is pure wisdom in my personal opinion).
--Intellectually taking in information from whatever subject area you prefer.
--Common sense in many areas, so others will look up to you and ask for your advice.
--True wisdom is knowing that not everything can be analyzed, not everyone can be changed and not everything is as it seems.

I would define wisdom as having the knowledge to know when you can and when you cant do, answer or know something, and to know the difference between knowing and believing something as true.
Also when to keep the gob shut.

Wisdom: The act of ultimate understanding, yet the incapacity to teach another AKA experience.
A wise man speaks out because he has something to say, a fool speaks out because they want to say something.
