Ask your dermatologist for Accutane.. You will need to use 2 different forms of birth control, get regular pregnancy tests.
Then you will need to restrict your diet (no carrots, spinach, any Vitamin A supplements, etc.), use lots and lots of chapstick as your skin will dry up, and avoid any sun exposure..
However I think the pros outweigh the benefits. Accutane really works. You will never see pimples again.

Hi there! Great question!
I am 47 years old and still get them too. The #1 cause of zits is STRESS or overproductive sebaceous glands. (These are the glands that produce oils in your body and are necessary and vital.) Blackheads shoud be removed by gentle squeezing. I find it useful to open pores FIRST using warm water or steam. Getting rid of zits is a bit harder. When I get a zit I pop them first by using the sharp end of sterilized tweezers. After you pop them, apply a tissue to the area to soak up the oils that are oozing out. (sounds gross but it's part of the human body and really isn't~) I have found that using a 'steroid cream' helps dry them up REALLY fast. You can buy an OTC such as a 10% cortisone cream. If you need something stronger you can get one prescribed to you. Any physician can prescribe one. If you ask for a generic brand they'll be cheaper~ (being a single mom of a 16 year old I know about saving money~) And unless you know your physician well, don't tell them that's what you want to use it for or they probably won't prescribe it. I don't suggest lying so instead I would just say that you get a slight rash from time to time and need one for that. Thats not exactly lying as zits are like a rash, right? Using a steroid cream THINS THE SKIN. I cannot stress this point enough!!! They should be used only OCCASIONALLY and apply very SMALL amounts because of this. (It doesn't take much anyway.) But that is exactly why they work so great. They thin the skin and that's what helps dry the zit up so fast!~ Hope this helps~

totally normal according tomy dermatologist. He said it could be stress related. I took accutane in my mid 20s and was acne free for about 4 years, it has all come back now in my early 30s. I take pretty good care of my skin everyday. wash my make-up off at night, use murad product line, acne medicine, etc. And still acne.
Do not touch your face if at all possible. my doctor told me that if I rest my head on my hand, the oil from your hand can cause acne. Some people acne just does not go away.

You say you take good care of your skin but did you realize a female should be washing their face twice a day? Most females don't and that is why a lot of women have adult acne /pimples. I like nutrogena cleaners and hydrating lotions or if I want to splurge clinique is really good stuff.

I think everyone here has given pretty good tips, but I just want to add one more thing. You need to watch what you eat and drink plenty of water. Avoid sugary beverages and sweets.
