Lie to him and tell him that ya'll are broke. Or tell him you have another bill, send that money to a savings account just in case he screws it up. Then you have a back up.

My husband is the same way, and after 5 years, house, and 2 kids there is no change. As long as you aren't in debt and the bills are paid then you should be fine. Try to tell him that you won't say anything anymore if he can match the amount he spends and put it into savings. If he spends $200 on magazines, tools, music, or whatever he is spending money on, ask him to put $50-$100 in savings. Half of what he is spending will help. Then at the end of the month if he actually puts away half, you could have $400 in savings, and show him that he went through $800 in a month. Maybe he will realize what he is spending could be used on something a lot more worth $800. If you plan to have kids, I will tell you right now, on diapers alone in a year we spend over $4,000. That is 2 kids, 1 and 2 years old. So, saving is a really good thing.
I hope this helps........

You and he need to have a set amount coming off his pay and going directly into an account with both names, just for a mortgage. That way, it will be tucked away safely for that rainy day, or house hunting. Then you can relax, knowing that the future will be bright eventually.

If you're able, cut up the credit cards, and put him on an allowance. But if he's a spender, he will find a way to spend.
Good LUCK....you need it! ;)
