Well, you sure tell everybody how you feel! I agree that the UK is overcrowded. The economy can reasonably support around 40 million inhabitants but it is not a question of spinelessness by the government but the European (and Britain's own) Human Rights laws. And whichever party was in power would have to abide by those laws so Labour is no more or less spineless than any other party. Hands are tied.
Anyway,I know an immigration officer responsible for putting illegals on their planes home. If the illegal refuses to step on board, the law does not allow the officer to force the person on board. The illegal is sent back to a detention centre. If he or she does fly home, there is nothing to stop him or her flying straight back on the same plane, claiming asylum and restarting the whole process. That is the Law that is at fault, not the government.
Meanwhile, Human Rights laws demand that we provide illegals with reasonable accommodation, food and clothing, so just make sure you keep paying your taxes, friend, otherwise those illegals might not be able to afford their leather jackets, Levis, designer trainers and two or three mobile phones - and that would be terrible for the government because organisations like Liberty would call us all cruel and sadistic!

If I respond to this will I get best answer or am I being too out of context? If no one else replies maybe I will get voted.
To be serious though, I think everyone has to accept we live in a era of globalisation, and the movement of people has become very easy. This is a fact, and will not change.
Are you talking about asylum seekers or foreigners who don't have work permits? Most Western countries accept a quota of asylum seekers, many of whom are not economic migrants but fleeing genuine persecution. Of course, the asylum seekers are in a minority but I'm sure the Home Office and Immigration Control have a very hard time assessing the genuine from bogus ones. This is not just an issue in the UK.
By the way, what was your question?

If they are not getting benefits then they will work illegally - there are always companies looking for cheap labour- so i agree with you, if they shouldnt be here then kick them back to where they came from - maybe then our pensioners will get a decent old age pension (enough to live a well fed, warm and happy life in their retirement)

Illegal or legal, not much difference in my eyes. Its gonna take a revolt and the general public are either brainwashed into believing that immigration is a good thing,or they just don't have the balls to do what needs to be done.

i think of the UKBA do an incredible activity of protecting human beings out. regrettably, the regulation does not. the biggest concern for us isn't possibly the clandestines that come for the time of at the back of wagons, its those that get in by way of an professional channel and under no circumstances go away, and the organised crime that enables them get in (pretend universities and so on). And one they're here, if we cant coach the place they got here from (ie, we cant detect a passport), we can't deport them. by technique of the time you purchased to tell the guy in the sales area approximately your contraband, they had already understand what you had at the back of the van.
