Big fat ropes do good with my pitbulls. Maybe those would work?

I have a pitbull mix that destroyed everything. We bought an "indestructable" kong toy- lasted about 5 hours.
What I did was get a rubber livestock feed bowl (they are flexible and black) and I use that for a toy/frisbee. That has lasted longer than anything else I have had. I think it was $4
Another thing we do is give them cow leg bones. Those will usually last a couple days at least.
Another thing you can do, but it will be costly (but should last) is find a site to order zoo animal enrichment toys. I am not sure of where to get them, but I know the balls that the tigers at the zoo I work at have lasted a couple months with tigers gnawing on them, and they are a lot stronger than any dog.

I have a 2 year old lab who also destroys all toys. I have not found anything that will last, so I just get him stuff and not expect it to last.
I have to say, the toy that has lasted the longest are those tire toys- actually made out of recycled tires and come in different sizes and often have a rope or something attached. I got one of those and it lasted a whole week!!

We have a Saint Bernard, she loves these toys I found at Target. They are made from a very stiff canvas type material. She has a snake and a bird and has yet to be able to tear them up. She has destroyed everything else we have ever gotten her, along with a few pairs of shoes and wall trim, but those have survived. I would try those. There is a website on the toy itself, fatcatinc.com.
Good Luck.

I have a ten month old lab mix that tears up everything. The only things she hasn't shredded are the 2 cheap squeaky toys that we gave her when we first got her (she really likes them) and a really tough hydrant toy that we hide treats in when we have to go out and she's in her crate. She tears up all stuffed toys, tug toys, and tennis type balls, even the one she got for Christmas that was supposed to be super tough. I am also running out of ideas. I guess we just haven't found (or they haven't made) the right toys for our puppies yet! I don't know what to tell ya to help except you are not alone. GOOD LUCK!!!

I too would suggest the tires! my dogs love those and do not tear them up- also, there is a toy called a CUZ- it squeaks loud (dont worry he will get that to stop quick) but it lasted a while at my house withou the squeak- my dogs loved it- the tire has lasted the longest though- another toy we have that lasts for a while is a tug toy- it is three big rings two black and one yellow (or visa versa) even after they get a ring off, they still like to play with it!

I agree with Mike. My Golden Retreiver chews through everything as well. I had the green kong toy, and that lasted pretty long. (maybe a year) I'll have to look for a black one. Good luck.

believe it or not, at the dollar tree there are some dog toys that you think would knock out dog if you accidentally hit them with it, those things take quite a long while to chew up. You might try some of them. They are only a dollar and if they work that would give you relief in the cash flow!

Frozen raw beef bones. I buy them at a butchers shop. They keep my frenchie busy and she is an avid chewer. You can usually pick these up for cheap. Go with the ones from the butcher shop as opposed to the grocery store. I think the quality is better and they usually are cheaper.

They make dog toys out of fire hose material. My chew monster was unable to destroy one, and she eats rocks & the edge of the road where the asphalt meets concrete driveway! Beware of the cheap knock offs, they are not as durable.

Also, there is a line of toys called Combat Extreme. The manufacturer warranties these against chew damage, and will ship you a new toy if your dog destroys one.

I order my dog tough chewies like Antlerz (naturally shed deer antler), Ocean Chews (dried sting ray tail), bullstix, etc. These are all natural, healthy, and digestible.
