Im only about 4 weeks along. what can i expect at my doctor's visit today?

not much, they'll probably take a urine test just to confirm, tell you your options, possibly set a ultrasound up for you in the next few weeks, possibly take a pap test (if you need one, they'll do it) also they'll take your family history and set you up with prenatal vitamins, and inform you about any available free classes you can take.

At 4-weeks along, your doctor will most likely just do your annual checkup. He/She will ask you to come back in 3-4 weeks for your first ultrasound.
At that point you will have a vaginal ultrasound, aka "the peanut picture" showing a sack with a small ball and a fluttering heartbeat.

I never saw a doctor before 8-9 weeks along. Maybe they will just do a test to confirm and a pap smear. The embryo is still to small to really see anything.

Height weight blood pressure and urine sample. Your doctor will talk to you about genetics in your family..... Cancer,Diabetes,brain damage etc......you may want to take the baby's dad with you because the doctor will want to know about his side as well. She will talk to you about what they will do in the up coming visits. You will get a big pack full of information about pregnant moms. (what to eat, what not to eat, the right and wrong exercises etc...) She will also check you to see if your uterus is in the right spot. Plan on peeing every time you go to the doctors, but you will not have to get undressed every time! Good luck and congrats!

Probably just blood work or a POAS. For me, we talked and discussed what was going on and what to expect. The doctor should do an ultra sound in a few weeks!

They will just confirm that you are pregnant, and perhaps do a pap smear. They may have you blood work done, or they may wait a few weeks for that. Start taking prenatals, your doctor can prescribe them or you can buy them at any store.

Weight and take your blood pressure
Prescribe you with prenatals...
Send you to get blood work
that's about it...

Routine checkup. Kinda like your yearly. They will ask you the first day of you last period to try to determine due date.
