supposed to less than 150mg per day. So I think that is about a cup and a half.

Up to 500ml a day. Just remember that caffeine is found in more than just coffee or soda. It is also in chocolate, yogurt, tea and so forth. The say typically a one 20oz pop or 1 or 2 cups of coffee is safe. The chance of miscarriage or preterm labor rises with a larger intake. However, these studies are not conclusive, there is still more research that needs to be done.

my doctor told me about 5 or 6 cups of coffee worth...i tend to only take in 1 or 2 servings a day. I go to Mayo Hospital for my care, and this hospital was just recently rated the #1 Hospital in the US.
this is the danger of asking this type of question on here...all doctors are different and all websites will say something different. Ask YOUR doctor and if you trust him, which you should or why would you be seeing him, then take his advice...not the advice of random strangers on yahoo answers. Including THIS random stranger.

A pregnant woman should not consume caffine. That maybe will end up with more problems than it is worth in the long run. Plus it will make you sick as a pregnant woman.
