You scared me for a minute!! No, I don't think he will. Frankly I'm not pulling for him either. The only reason he wanted to come back was to get those last 12 home runs so he could reach 600 for his career. That's been bugging him ever since him bailed on baseball when the steroid issue got too hot to handle. Now that he's given the steroids time to leave his body he wants to come back strictly for his own self gratification. To me that's about as selfish as he can get. Screw the smile and screw the happy talk. The SOB is a cheater and a liar just like his other steroid buddies.

Do you mean Sammy Sosa?Because Alfonso Soriano plays for the Cubs now.As a Cubs fan,I can appreciate what Sammy did for us as a player. But after a below average season with the Orioles before he took a year off,I don't think he can come anywhere near the numbers he used to put up.Especially now that he can't cork his bats and take steroids anymore.

You mean Sosa right? Soriano is a Cub. If youdo mean Sosa I would say no but I haven't seen him play yet.

Sosa...Nope, he's done.

But I do remember, pre-steroids, a 5-tool, 30-30 threat. I can't see him reverting back to that though.

i think he will not make it , he is a year older and he has a HUGE contriversy over steriods goin on , he will get scruttinized on every move he makes and the rangers will get so much bad publicity , so i doubt it

it depends on if he trained well enough during his year off. and he would have to learn to train and play in that hot *** weather, too.
