Hi,
Can't really help with nightlife but looks like you have enough suggestions - just buy TimeOut and see what is going on at night. But for the weekend in the days - this is what you have to do -
Saturday in the day check out Portobello market, loads of "funky" clothes and things, amazing food and a great atmosphere. I'd have lunch in one of the eateries around NottingHill then in the afternoon I would go to Covent Garden and see some of the boutique shops and places there.

On Sunday there is no question about it , go to the Eastend and hit a market. Columbia flower market is great as they have cool bric a brac, boutiquey shops as well as flowers. Then walk over to Brick Lane market finishing at Spitalfields with its cool shops and funky cafes. I did this the last weekend it didn't rain, we used the Eastend walk we downloaded onto our ipod's from www.talkingtrip.com, we had a great time! and looked like locals not tourists as we were listening to where to go via our ipod not some guide book!

If it's funky your looking for head to funky Budda, or try Babble just opposite...it's not so pretencious like some of the clubs, or Embassy is close by also.

I prefer heading to some of the more underground reggae places but that might not be your scene, it all depends what type of music you like as to where you should head, but the popular places tend to be Pangea, Penthouse, China White etc, check out exclusive london website to get guestlisted.

If you want a club then you should buy a copy of Mixmag magazine and look at the Whats On section. It has all the listings you will need to find a club night you fancy.

You should look at some clubs like Pacha or Turnmills if you want Funky House music, or even Fabric on a Saturday.
