I was born in London UK and lived here for twenty years...then moved to Wales in the countryside. I was there ten years but then came back. I missed London a lot. While the countryside is nice...it's hard in the winter and there's not a lot to do.

It's ideal now because I am on the outskirts of London near the countryside and can get the tube into London whenever I like.

I grew up in the country, but since I've gotten married I've lived in town. I guess it's by choice and necessity, but I wouldn't mind living in the country again. There is definately a difference and both have their pros and cons.

i live in the suburbs, exactly in between the city and country in my area. basically this is by choice as i really wanted to stay in the city, but when my husband & i got married & were looking for a place to live we wanted to find a place closer to our extended families, but not so close that those family members could drop by without calling... we settled on an area that is considered "mid-county" and is 15 minutes from our downtown area, and 15-20 minutes from all of our extended family. we really lucked into a nice place that is on a street that dead ends into a 15 acre municipal park. when i look out our front windows, all i see is park - so its like we have the best of both city & country. we are truly lucky people.

I live far, far in the country. Definitely by choice, just moved there in-fact. Been a city girl all my life.
