What exactly is Mozilla Thunderbird? Is it a browser, like Firefox?

It is an email client and a RSS reader. It is an open source alternative to Microsoft Outlook for reading email. It also allows you to read RSS feeds to get published news messages.

Mozilla Thunderbird is an email client. Thunderbird is to Firefox as Outlook/Outlook Express is to Windows Internet Explorer.
