His books are loaded with errors, his research is very poor, he prints his books in a font 25% larger than anyone else so that his books seem longer, he writes page and a half chapters so that the book seems longer, too(LOTS of pages are 3/4 blank) He writes most of his books with other authors now. There is NO way he can be writing 5 books a year himself. His stories are mildly interesting but extremely predictable. He is famous for using the Deus Ex Machina technique to suddenly "manufacture" solutions in the last 50 pages or so. And yet he hits the top of the best seller list every time.

There is no way he even comes close to Michael Connelly, Daniel Silva or Nelson De Mille.

The bird kids books weren't bad. But there is SO much better out there. Pick up a Connelly, Silva or De Mille and you will never read Patterson again.

I LOVE his books I don't think that I've read a bad one yet. My favorites are the 5 books in the Womans Murder Club series. 1st to Die, 2nd Chance, 3rd Degree, 4th of July and 5th Horseman. These books are great I had a hard time putting them down once I started reading. I could never wait to find out what happened next.

i find the books really cheesy and predictable - Like the literature equivalent of CSI or something. But, for some reason i am completely addicted to them at the moment, especially the Alex Cross series. Favourite so far is Cat and Mouse i think.

I have read all of his books including the ones he wrote before he became famous (Season of the Machete) and most his his series.

To me he writes too much now. His name is on everything and there is no surprise left in his style.

I fear just as I have stop reading Stephen King, John Sandford and Patricia Cornwell I will soon stop reading Patterson.

i think Patterson is a great author but i think his earlier stuff is better than the stuff he is joint writing with others, as for my favourite book it would have to be where the wind blows and the lake house both about the flying kids, but I'm also kinda hooked to his Alex Cross series, and his women's murder club lol oh well i think that covers them all. i guess i have a lot of favourites lol.

cheesey, predictable, but at the same time amazingly gripping :S how he manages to please readers despite having stupid and predictable storylines and boring characters is still beyond my understanding. I find that when I read his books I enjoy them because I find them an easy read. If you need an 'easy-read' book between heavier novels then reach for Patterson. And I do not have a favourite as once I finish each one I realise how much time I have wasted (but then still go back for more!?!?!?!)

I enjoy reading his books very much. I most recently read the series with Lindsay Boxer and the Women's Murder Club - there were five books in the series and now I hear it's in production for a TV series.

The book The Cradle Will Rock is, I think the best book he ever wrote! I had one of the most riveting stories ever!

The first book I read by him was "Season of the Machete".Absolutly awful!!!A teenager in school could have done better. It took me over a decade to pick up another one of his books, due to disappointment, and it turned out he had improved drastically.Honeymoon was really good
