I did not have ANY signs of lactation before I gave birth...
I had a little colustrum at birth...but not enough to soak through anything..
In fact I had NO MILK until about a week AFTER...
I'm still breastfeeding now and I still don't use breast pads...
So long story short...don't listen to anybody...
Everyones body is different...all you can do is hope for the best and plan for the worst.
Buy some pads and put some in your car and in your purse and in your desk at work...that way if you need them ..you have them...and if you don't...well...I don't know ...you can use them as coasters for your coffee cup at work? lol
Good Luck and Congratulations!!

Oh my one of my favorite joys of pregnancy, yeah right. Umm I believed the started leaking around 30 weeks, but everyone is different. They do seam to leak more after I have sex or take shower or a bath. It is completely normal, but from what I understand not all women experience this before giving birth. Be happy if it is not happening yet, it is annoying. I just a wear a bra constantly because if I don't it will leak through my shirt very noticeably.

I was around 22 weeks when I noticed my breasts had milk (well not really milk but clear liquid)
I don't think everyone leaks per ce but i was curious and I squeezed at 22 weeks and sure enough liquid did come out.
I'm 35 weeks along now, when I wear a bra it doesn't really go through the bra and my shirt so I don't need pads. It comes on and off again all day and night.

My breast started leaking at 4 1/2 months...not fun. It's very uncommon to leak this early and many women don't leak at all. Whether you leak or not has nothing to do with your ability to breastfeed. I did have to wear nursing pads and found that the washable one were more comfortable. I didn't leak constantly, but after a warm shower it happened every time. The most common time to start leaking is the 8th month.

No body has told you when because everybody is different. I was i my last month/few weeks before i started and as i wasnt breast feeding it stopped about 2weeks after i had my daughter, to which i was very suprised cause my boobs went huge. You are most likely to have to wear pads if you decide to breast feed. As for leaking all day i wouldnt worry to much as its just now and then, well so i found anyway. Im sorry im not much help but i hope what i have said has helped you a little. good luck and best wishes.

I was almost exactly 5 months when it started. 20 weeks.
Doesn't necessarily happen to everyone.
I probably should have wore pads, but didn't. It seemed to leak the worst, when I wasn't wearing a bra. I never leaked through my bra. It was an off-and-on thing. Sometimes all day.

With my first it was towards the end of my pregnancy it wasnt milk. I cant remember what its called but its a clear subtance and it wasnt enought to wear pads but everyone is different. Some people that I know have had to wear pads. And its just every now and then. Its just preparing for the baby to come so you can breast feed.

its not milk, its called colostrum. its loaded with vitamins and nutrients and antibodies that help baby one he/she is born. this can happen anywhere from a few weeks to a few days before birth.
some women this doesnt happen until baby is born. that was the case for me.
the amount of leakage is different for every woman.
your milk will not come in until a few days after baby's birth. then you will leak like crazy. during showers. when you hear your baby cry. lol.
just laugh about it. its not worth it to get upset over. i made jokes about it all the time. (to other new mothers...not random people)
:)

Mine started to leak around 25 weeks. But this was mainly at night when I was laying on my side, and putting pressure on my boobs...therefore it was pushing it out!!! I still wake up and find it running down my chest!!! The stuff is sticky and it stinks!!!
It is called colostrum, what you produce before your milk comes in. It is very potent stuff, and very good for baby the first few days before your milk comes in. I wear pads during the day just in case...but at night, I just wear a tank, and suck up the dripping!!! HAHA!!!
