Either finish with her or don't - it's in no way fair to leave her hanging indefinitely. You can't have your cake and eat it, sorry i'm not trying to be a b*tch.
Break up as kindly as you can, and if you're meant to be together, you will come back together anyway, without her potentially putting her life on hold until you have 'found yourself'.

well obviously there is no right way, but just say that you are buzy with stuff at the moment and it wouldn't be fair on her, and that she deserves attention that you cant give at the moment and you want to respect her by breaking up with her for a while

tell her you need space and and its not her. its you that needs to figure some stuff out. Tell her how you feel. If she loves you, she will understand. Try and give her a estimate of how much time it will take so your not leading her on.
