I think it has done a lot of good, as well as damage. Television has certainly helped us to be more educated. I know I can learn a lot more with movies sometimes than with listening to stories or reading books on the subject in the same amount of time. It has pictures that show how things work, and images which can be impressed on the mind and learned much more quickly than trying to imagine something never before seen.
This advantage also has the same disadvantage, though. The impressions on the mind from movies can affect areas which are better not learned. And sometimes people watch TV instead of spending time socializing or anything. But generally, all things considered I consider the TV to be something which has benefitted society.
In 100 years. Wow, I bet it would be pretty awesome. That would also be neat if it were say something like holograms where we could actually interact with the characters and feel like we were actually in the places in the "movie."
Whether or not that is possible I don't know---I know we've thought of a lot of things technogically wise which haven't come (like on "Back to the Future"). But that would be neat, and I bet we will have that technology at some point in the future.

Television has absolutely RUINED civilized society.
And 100 years from now, Big Brother will have chips implanted into every citizen's head at birth which will play "movies" continually.

Television allows people who make the visuals and audio to get thier IDEAS into your head.Only watch TV if your real life visuals and audio are not satisfying enuff for you.(or if u dont feel like leaving your house to find out more about real interaction).but if u think about movies and TV compaired with what u see in real life both are imprinted in your subconsious, and are very simular.

Television is what we perceive it to be. In my view, it is the pulse of humanity. It contains all the evil and good found therein. If you look for the good , you are often repelled by the evil and likewise.
