We here athletes say all the time about how they "love the game" and some of them seem transparent when they do, but Dre Bly has made it clear what he's about. He's all about the money. He would rather play for an NFL bottom feeder than a perennial contender just because the bottom feeder will give him an extension. I always thought the Broncos got the short end of the stick with the Dre Bly trade, and that stick is getting shorter. He won't be happy until he's in our nation's capital going 6-10. But if that hurts his feelings, I guess he can dry his tears with his new millions. This guy's a peon and its scary to say this, but the Lions are better without him.

He is not happy with the Trade from Detroit to Denver. He wants to live close to his home in Virginia. From what I hear, the Redskins want to give the Broncos their #6 draft pick. We'll see what happens.

FYI: ESPN is not doing a good job on staying on top of the news. I heard about this a few days ago.

He could be thinking about the contract extension Washington was willing to offer that Denver hasn't yet been willing to make, or he could be thinking of how homesick he is, or it could be something else entirely.

For now, you (and all Denver fans) should listen to Jim Bates and show a little patience.

No. Any player who would rather play for the Redskins than the Broncos must have serious mental issues.
