Personally, I believe the ones getting should be thrown UNDER the jail! However, there are some who say this is a form of entrapment, because the "13-14 year-old girl" turns out to be a 19-year-old actress, or someone from the group Perverted Justice. Some say this program needlessly ruins lives? What do you think?

They're not gonna bust you unless it's OBVIOUS you're trying to hook up. And what does a 13-year-old have to offer ya anyways?

This show is like a compulsion for me, and I don't even have kids. I can't stop watching. I think it is wonderful in what it does, both catching potential predators and showing kids what is out there.

It is not entrapment, because the decoys do not hit on the men online, they wait til the men talk to them first. The chat transcripts must be very clear about this. Or the evidence is fouled.

Ruins lives? It's the predators who take all the steps to do this. It takes an act of will to get in your car, drive to someone's house, and get out and walk into the house. It should teach other men a lesson. It is mind-boggling how many men now say they have seen the show, saying it to Chris Hansen right there... where they have shown up to meet a 13 year old!

The only people saying it needlessly ruins lives are either perverts themselves or have no children. What the hell does a grown man need to be hooking up with a 13-14 year old girl (or boy) for?
I love the guys who say they just wanted to help a friend - I was in the area and brought burgers for lunch. Oh, and it's a kid's meal, how cute. They just don't mention it took them six hours to get "in the area"!
These guys should be castrated.

All of these men deserve to either be in jail or in some serious treatment NOT ON THE STREETS. Obviously they had the intent to go do sexual things with these 13 and 14 year old girls (who are idiots for talking to older guys online and for inviting them over, but the adult should know better). The only way they catch these guys is because the openly talk and ask about it online otherwise, there is no proof they had the intent to do these sexual things with the girls. They could claim they were just there to "bring them some lunch cause they were in the area" if they didnt mention anything sexual online.

I love the show. The host makes me laugh the way he just comes out of nowhere to approach the men. They just sit there and talk to him too!!! The men on that show are just sick and need to be be arrested for a few years. They know better. I think its a good idea because Dateline is saving a lot of children's lives. Even with the show going on, I know there are still some nasty perverts running around the country still trying to sleep with underage boys and girls.

As far as the predators caught, I agree with you, they should be thrown under the jail. As far as the show goes, it is getting real old. It is the same thing every time. I realize they are trying to show how many predators there are still out there, but it is getting boring. I have quite watching it. Though I am still amazed that men who have seen the show still show up. Hard to believe how stupid some of the people are.

I think it is sort of entrapment, But I totally agree with what they're doing! If those creeps weren't talking to a decoy, then they'd be talking to someone else, And with as many that has been caught, that's how many kids who could've been raped, beaten of even killed. They should keep doing these shows until they can't get even one adult to talk to kids like that online. Good for Perverted Justice!!

I personally love this show. I don't think that it is entrapment at all. They are willing talking to this person knowing their age. They are saying explict things to these people on the internet. Some even take pics of their pen** and send them out. This show is letting you know that there are pervets out there. It's really good to see that someone is actually taking the time to get these pervs off our streets.

It's one of my guilty pleasures. I look at the men and I see scum.. Somebody needs to protect our children from these predators. Most parents don't have a clue what their children are doing on the computer. Some of the chats occurred really late at night. We need a show like this to discourage predators and open people's eye to this problem.

Entrapment or not, those people are scum and I give a big Kudos to Dateline for getting those people off of the streets.

The show was fine the first time...I can't believe it's on so many times a week. Crazy how they keep finding idiots to entrap. Yeah, I guess it's entrapment, but if you have nothing to hide, it shouldn't matter.
