system development suggestions?

i'm required to develop a system for my final year in uni..would like some suggestions on systems that i can develop..its only a prototype so i only need to get the basic functions to work..any new ideas are most welcomed and i prefer developing using vb6.

I think that you should do something simple such as a grocery store ordering system, a stock control for some kind of industry or small company, a text editor that has more things than notepad have, a game like pinball, packman or one that you can do easily.
