I know that two of the poems are "I eat my peas with honey" and "ladies and jellybeans". Poppetts where these cuddly toys that could fold over into another toy, or something like that.

The poem of a precarious print-press, or, How the Poppets and the patriarch personify patient persecution
by Polly Black

That's the only book I could find with the word poppet in it, but I doubt it's what you're looking for. You might need to try a library and look through their children's section of poetry.

These nonsense verse and rhyme were written anonymously and as such were used in many publications, possibly one with Poppets in the title.

If you have forgotten how they go, here they are.

I eat my peas with honey
I've done so all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on my knife

Good evening Ladies and Jellybeans. I come before you to stand behind you; to tell you something I know nothing about. Next Thursday ( which is Good Friday ) there will be a Mothers meeting for Fathers only. Wear your best clothes if you hav'nt any. If you come please stay at home. Admission is free, pay at the door, take a seat and sit on the floor.
Thank you for your unkind attention.
