I'm 3 days late for my period, and am experiencing some very strange symtoms. They're very different from my usual PMS symptoms (only nipples hurt, not whole breast, no cramps in abdomen just a tight, heavy feeling with odd twinges, acne) and from anything I've ever felt before. I just feel blown up like a balloon! I've done two home pregnancy tests and both have come back negative. Do my symptoms sound familiar to anyone? When do you think I should test again? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Either your ovulation wasn't when you thought it was or you're not pregnant. Retest in another 3 days or so & if it's still negative, make an appointment to see your doctor so that you can get your period "jumpstarted".

You could have tested too early or you could have miscalculated your expected period.
Either way, I would wait a couple days and test again with Equate (Walmart brand). Equate is surprisingly one of the most reliable tests out there! It is also one of the most sensitive ones.
Also, make sure you test with first morning urine (first pee of the day). It tends to have a higher concentration of the pregnancy hormone.

With my first child, I was over 6 days late before I got a positive. It just takes some women awhile to show up on pregnancy tests.

You should wait about a week and test again, because there is a possibility that you may be pregnant and your hcg level is too low for the test to detect it. You can also go get a blood test done. They are 100% accurate and can tell you if you are pregnant before any other test. Good luck and best wishes!!

Since you've had 2 pregnancy tests that were negative it's highly unlikely that you're pregnant. Give it a few more days and then test again.

it may be that the hcg level is not high enough yet to show on a test, and maybe that you need a blood test to confirm you are / not

try again in two days if your period dosent come on but if anything go to your obgyn and have them take a test urine or blood good luck!!!!!!

you have to make it after one week in the early morning as the pregnany hormon increase at the morning if not ask a doctor

Why don't you as a doctor... You'll have an opinion that will be 100% correct so you won't waste your time and you won't feel confused and you'll know for sure...

it could be stress and worry, your body does strange things when you're stressed and worried..I'd give it a few days maybe even week or more then test again.
