What do you think about this ongoing war in Iraq? This is just my opinion but I feel that Bush should be concentrating on our country because it seems to be falling apart. Education and health care are on the back-burners and more people are being killed over a war that I think a lot of Americans are tired of hearing about. I realize homeland security is very important, but at what cost? I believe our country is suffering and Bush just continues on without realizing what's going on in his own country?

I think you make a good point. The problem with Bush is that at no point did he even pretend that his goals as President were to make the USA a better place to live. He has been all about foreign policy and it showed when New Orleans flooded and his administration was caught red-handed syphoning money from internal resources to international projects.

One of the most telling statistics is the proportion of revenue spent on Education to the amount spent on Defence. In most Western countries the ratio is about equal at 15% on each. In the USA 25% of revenue is spent on Defence and 7% is spent on Education. Very interesting indeed.

Well, the war in Iraq is trying to end international terrorism, and I'm in favor of ending international terrorism.

Our country is falling apart? LOL!!!!! What makes you think so? I bet I could name ten great things about our country for every one complaint you have.

"a war that I think a lot of Americans are tired of hearing about" ... yeah, that's a substantial reason. Barf.

"I believe our country is suffering" ... oh please. Suffering from too many whiners, maybe. Suffering from too many people who blindly hate President Bush, maybe.

Education ... if that's a problem, it's a problem of local government and lousy parenting. Not President Bush's fault.

Health care ... that's a problem of demogogs hyping a non-problem. Millions of Americans can't afford health insurance, but they're covered by welfare-type health care, and the role of government is not to make people COMFORTABLE. Also, millions of OTHER people COULD buy health care insurance but CHOOSE not to. Not President Bush's fault.

Why do people so quickly choose to believe negative things? Things are much, much better than you seem to think.

Each presidency in one way or another orchestrates a variety of future scenarios while in termed...and this one is no different.
The future of much of Americas infrastructure is being laid out even as we speak.
These issues now so dominant in the news and media, are only the surface of Americas international involvements...there are international activity's happening that will not be of public 'interest' until it is convenient, or until it can no longer be subverted.
Bigger games are being played than the one in Iraq, or Iran, or Afghanistan...the objectives just haven't been favorably arranged at this time, and premature awareness of political manipulation would complicate the achievement of agendas.

The current 'agenda' of our countrys energy stability through the comming 15,-20 years is being orchestrated in obscure, undeveloped, 3rd world , insignificant places as yet vertually unheard of.

Things are going to get complicated,..and expensive,..befor this election upcomming. I wouldnt want to inherrit the decisions the next president will have to make.

I agree, but remember that we have a lot more than a lot of 3rd world countries. Albeit, we are running behind a lot of Euro countries, including our friendly neighbor Canada. So as long as we are comfortably situated inbetween awesome and sucky, I don't think things are likely to change.
Also, you know that Bush et al is not empathetic towards poor folks. He did say that he works harder for how much money he makes, so basically people who make min wage just sit on their bums and do nothing, logically.

As bad as the war may be going I would hate to see the consequence of just suddenly pulling out our troops at this point.
