I'm just curious more than anything, I don't actually plan to get one. Where would I get one from and how much would it cost? I know it's illegal to import, thats why I wonder.

There is a pet shop in Coulsdon, Surrey, which for years had a sign outside saying "Tortoises now in stock". Mind you, it's not there now so maybe they have all sold out. I thought you could just get them in any pet shop...

There ae some pet shops about although maybe very few, apparrently they cost a few bob now to buy, just wish i knew where mine went to when i was a kid.
