You should get it confirmed by a doctor so that way it is easier to tell how you are progressing. The doctor will also tell you when you need to be seen again, suggestions for vitamins, etc...

The test is right... negatives are easy to get when they are really postive..but, a positive is nearly impossible to mistake. They, at the clinic, use the same type of test you use at home. But, you shoudl go to the clinic to have the doctor document your pregnancy. Also, they can give you an estimated due date if you give them the info on your last period. Congratulations and good Luck!!!

You should always get the HPT confirmed at the clinic. They can then confirm, and schedule your first appointment. Some clinics will give you a package with a lot of information re: nutrition, etc. that can help you on your way to a healthy pregnancy. Also, remember to take your prenatal vitamins daily asap if you haven't already. If you are on any prescription drugs, stop taking these now, and discuss these with your doctor. CONGRATS!!!!

Trust the test, but still go to the clinic to get started on prenatal care.

If a home test was positive then you must be pregnant, you can have a false negative but a false positive is very rare. i would still go to the clinic with some wee just to get it confirmed though.

Congratulations!!!! You will be pregnant with me, I'm 7 weeks xxxx

These days many of the clinics and doctors use the exact same type of test that we use, so they are just as accurate, the only one that could be said to be more accurate is a blood test, but I would just believe it, get another HPT and wait till tomorrow morning (first urine) and then use it, if its still positive, then Congratulations.

You HAVE to go to the clinic so you can be tested for all kinds of different stuff and so they can make sure the baby's growing progress is coming along as it should be. GO TO THE CLINIC... good luck and best wishes!!

Definitely trust the test! They are over 99% accurate. But, you still need to go to the doctor so they can do an estimated due date, and see how far along you are. And to also make sure that everything with you and the baby is OK.

Well, when you get a positive you should always call your Dr. and they will schedule you an appointment to come in and get a blood test and check up done. Then if it is a true positive they will schedule you your first prenatal appointment. But most pg tests are pretty accurate, so I would say Congrats and good luck.

There is no such thing as a false positive on the at home pregnancy tests. There are false negatives. Often times, your insurance will need confirmation for them to cover it. Your OB should see you around 8-10 weeks! MAny blessings!

Congratulations - hope this is what you wanted and that you are not in too much shock about it.
I would go to the Doctor, to talk things thru with them, they will do a urine test, blood tests, sort out you due date and make an appointment with the hospital for a 12 week scan.
Good Luck I hope it all works out for you>
