In the garden, click on a plant and click Spray Many (unless you want to do it one at a time). Better yet, put up some ladybug houses and you won't need to spray (or at least not that often).

Click a tree that is infested with bugs and the option spray should come up. Click it and your sime will spray the tree with pesticides, with each spray your sim has a chance of become a plant sim.

Tell your sim to call on the phone on "SERVICES", then click on exterminator. They'll come to your house within one day, and the cost is quite cheap!
